STLE members are invited to attend the Lubrication Technology for Metal Formers and Die Shops Conference, Feb. 12-13, at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel. Metalforming magazine, published by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), with the support of STLE, have created this conference for industry professionals to provide updates on new lubricants for stamping and tool and die machining, as well as opportunities to evaluate new formulations and to network with peers to discuss challenges and best practices.

The conference features 12 subject-matter experts speaking on topics, such as:

National opened a new Section award for 2019 – the Section Achievement Award, given to a section with an outstanding program that supports the goals and mission of STLE.

Our Chairman, Bulent Chavdar, volunteered at the Southfield FRC event. He worked as spare parts and as field setup.

Welcome to Deep Space, Bulent! Field setup is a big task. This year’s field is a little less messy that last year’s, but it’s still a lot of work.

Cass Tech is running their annual STEM Expo! Participating kids will get a close-up look at many interactive demonstrations and activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

The event will take place at Cass Tech High School on Wednesday, 27 March, 2019, from 0900 to 1420 (that’s 9am to 2:20pm).
